Description. Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Medical Office. The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation’s investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures. battlespace worldwide. This position requires a Secret clearance.
Job Duties:

  • Provide SE support for assigned program(s), to include planning and execution to support the entire system life cycle, for all SE processes:
    • Decision Analysis

    • Interface Management
  • Develop SE program plans as required to document and guide government implementation, including coordination, review and adjudication of stakeholder comments. Examples of such documents include the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Configuration Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, Program Protection Plan, and the Programmatic ESOH Evaluation.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for the planning, execution, documentation, and follow-on task resolution for program technical reviews and analyses such as Requirements Reviews, Design Reviews, and configuration audits.
  • Provide support to program contracting processes related to SE tasks and efforts, including Statement of Objectives/Work development, review and analysis of candidate-submitted technical data, and technical support to government representatives at working meetings and formal reviews with their materiel acquisition candidates.
  • Support the program office’s management of the SE Integrated Process Team (IPT) and sub-working groups, including agenda preparation, facilitation of meetings, preparation of minutes, and tracking of action items.
  • Draft clear, concise briefings, documentation, and reports as required to support the government implementation of its SE program activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the PM, functional support staff to accomplish program goals, including interface to other working groups at the program, portfolio, and strategic levels.
  • Support the program office’s interaction with their stakeholder community including preparation of documentation, scheduling of meetings, and coordination of tasks and actions.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess an expert knowledge and understanding of systems engineering (SE), as it relates to the DoD Acquisition process defined in DODD 5000.01 and DODI 5000.02.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, as well as eight (8) years of general experience and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Tradeoff Requirement: The candidate shall possess an Associate’s degree or professional certificate in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, as well as ten (10) years of general experience and seven (7) years of relevant experience.
