As a System Engineer, Subject Matter Expert, you will play a lead role in delivering secure, cloud-based solutions that enhance mission-critical operations. You will guide the adoption and optimization of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure platforms, helping the organization transition from legacy systems to modern, efficient cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services, adhering to enterprise standards and industry best practices. Develop and execute rollout plans for new M365 features to drive adoption.
- Develop and execute rollout strategies for new M365 features to drive user adoption and maximize value.
- Assess and plan the migration of on-premises services and systems to M365 and Azure environments.
- Monitor service availability, performance, and reliability, applying proactive solutions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide deep technical support to resolve complex issues across the M365 and Azure platforms.
- Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners to enhance cloud service delivery and support.
- Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies and assist in enforcing cloud security best practices.
- Stay ahead of technology trends and provide strategic recommendations for system enhancements and cloud adoption.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar technical role.
- Demonstrated expertise in migrating enterprise systems to M365 and Azure, including identity management and integration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, authentication mechanisms, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Clear and confident communication skills to effectively engage both technical and non-technical
Education and Experience:
Candidate must meet one of the following combinations:
- High School Diploma or GED and 25 years of relevant experience
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 20 years of relevant experience
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant)
- Desired: Additional certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, or cloud security are a plus
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
