Job Description

You will be the Systems Engineer Senior for the F-35 Mission Planning Environment (MPE) Hardware and Software Integration and Test Team (HSI&T) in Fort Worth, Texas which is responsible for integration and testing of the MPE environment. The MPE team provides F-35 ground mission planning, mission debrief, security and sensor reprogramming capabilities. The HSI team is a team of engineers responsible for providing MPE hardware and software integration support, familiarization training, user documentation creation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and field support to US and international locations. The MPE Agile teams design, develop and integrate F-35 MPE software and hardware, in a customized Agile framework to allow for quick development and inclusion of anomaly corrections,

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer Senior you will be responsible for:• Supporting development of ground-based software and implementation of security protocols• Identifying/troubleshooting MPE system anomalies and issues• Interacting with users and act as an infrastructure Subject Matter Expert for MPE • Interfacing with multiple internal and external customers in support of product improvements• Lab configuration consisting of installation of Linux and Windows operating systems in a variety of hardware to include servers, desktops and laptops• Performing detailed problem analysis of anomalies discovered during installations and test execution, document anomalies, and verify corrections when implemented• Supporting Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance testing and quarterly updates to the MPE Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M)• Reviewing the system configuration to determine if the list of authorized software programs should be updated• Assessing security alerts, advisories, and directives weekly to determine if updates are required• Testing monthly Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and software patches on production representative system prior to authorizing updates for fielded systems• Participating in technical reviews and audits of systems hardware and software products• Supporting network maintenance and related IT projects

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

• IT System/Software Troubleshooting experience

• Proficient with windows and Linux/Unix operating systems configuration and troubleshooting.

• Have and retain DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II certification or IAM Level I (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, CISSP, etc.)

• Implementing and maintaining compliance to Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and/or Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements experience

Desired skills

• Systems administration experience with servers and network installations/integrations

• Experience maintaining configuration control for an IT system

• Operational and troubleshooting experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and network hardware (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, storage, network encryptors, etc.)

• Applying operating system updates, antivirus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates to appliances

• Demonstrated ability to analyze intrusion detection system networks

• Data center maintenance and infrastructure management

• Hardware/system monitoring of physical and virtual servers

• Upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components

• Network administrator experience with experience in Layer 2 and 3 Networking

• Spanning technology in switches

• Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers (Win 2012/2019) and virtual machines (VMWare and/or Hyper-V)

• Experience with test lab environment Hardware configuration and maintenance

• Must have excellent organizational, analytical, presentation and written/verbal communication skills.

• F-35 ALIS, Mission Planning and/or Mission Systems experience

• Holds Certifications in the following Environments: MS-, X-Windows, Linux, CCNA

• Experience in development of Standard Operating Procedures and training material

• Flexibility and willingness to support dynamic mission requirements

• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF MPE network hardware and software

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
