Join our innovative team

At Baker Hughes Flexible Pipe Systems (FPS), we design and manufacture industry-leading flexible pipe technologies that support offshore energy projects around the world. Our global Engineering organization relies on robust systems, consistent processes, and trusted data to deliver safe, high-quality solutions efficiently.

As part of our continued digital transformation, we are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the adoption, continuous improvement, and effective use of Siemens Teamcenter and related engineering systems. The role will primarily focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), while also supporting selected Digital Engineering, Lean, and Engineering Operations solutions.

Partner with the best

As a Systems Engineer - Product Lifecycle Management & Digital Engineering Solutions, you will work closely with engineering users, the PLM Leader, functional subject matter experts, and Digital Technology teams to translate business needs into practical system improvements. You will help ensure that Teamcenter supports the controlled management of engineering documents, product data, Bills of Material, changes, and release processes throughout the product lifecycle.

You will also contribute to digital tools, dashboards, workflow automation, and operational solutions that improve standardization, visibility, productivity, and data-driven decision-making across global Engineering teams.

As a Systems Engineer - Product Lifecycle Management & Digital Engineering Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the adoption, continuous improvement, and day-to-day effectiveness of Siemens Teamcenter and related engineering systems.
  • Partnering with the PLM Leader and business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements for PLM processes, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Working with Digital Technology architects, developers, data teams, and software partners to ensure solutions are aligned with business requirements and operational needs.
  • Driving process harmonisation and promoting best practices across engineering document management, CAD data management, Bill of Material management, engineering change, and product release processes.
  • Monitoring user feedback, system usage, and recurring support needs to identify opportunities to improve user experience, process compliance, and system performance.
  • Delivering targeted training, demonstrations, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing sessions for end users, subject matter experts, and functional teams.
  • Maintaining accessible and current training materials, process documentation, support information, communications, and user resources for PLM and related engineering systems.
  • Partnering with Lean and Engineering Operations stakeholders to identify digital improvement opportunities that reduce manual work, improve process reliability, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborating with global FPS teams and supporting cross-site system and process improvements, including occasional international travel.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience supporting PLM, engineering applications, business systems, operations software, or digital transformation within a complex technical environment.
  • Understand engineering information and configuration processes, including CAD data management, Bills of Material, document control, engineering change management, and product release.
  • Have experience with Siemens Teamcenter or a comparable PLM platform; relevant training can be provided for a candidate with strong transferable systems experience.

  • Possess excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Be comfortable working across global teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Have advanced English and fluent Portuguese language skills to support training, communication, and user support across the global FPS environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Business Process Management, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with Siemens Teamcenter configuration, administration, support, or business analysis.
  • Experience with engineering process and document management, low-code platforms, workflow automation, data visualisation or engineering operations dashboards.
