Job Description

As a Process Expert - System Engineering (m/f/d), your role will be to develop and enhance processes and methods for aircraft development, particularly in systems engineering. You will analyze complex technical data to identify areas for improvement and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including the design, production, and testing teams, will be key to ensuring the seamless integration of systems engineering into the overall development process. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining best practices for tool selection and implementation and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.

Some of your regular tasks will include:

  • Lead the development and improvement of new methods and processes for aircraft development, with a focus on systems engineering and in accordance with aerospace standards, internally referred to as the Business Architect.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and management to develop sensible & pragmatic solutions for process development and improvement.
  • Guide and support the Head of Department and/or Chief Engineering (CE) in process activities and prepare decisions for the CE and/or management.
  • Ensure consistency and completeness of systems engineering processes across departments and organization; analyze the impact of process decisions
  • Develop training for engineers on processes and tools related to systems engineering and method development.
  • Continuously analyze and improve processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support engineering and digital teams in software/tool administration
  • Communicate and negotiate with software suppliers on license usage and administration topics.


Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • M.Sc., or equivalent degree in engineering, aerospace, or similar work experience
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace & Systems Engineering
  • Solid experience with Requirements Based Engineering (RBE)
  • Proven experience in full lifecycle of a certified aircraft development program
  • Experience in different design cycles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation regulations and standards such as ARP4754A, ARP4761
  • Formal training regarding system engineering is a strong plus (e.g., INCOSE)
  • Experience with various systems engineering domains (e.g., Functional Engineering or Product Assurance)
  • Experience in requirements management tools (Windchill RV&S, DOORS etc..)

  • Experienced with team & project management
  • Professional aerospace certifications
  • Professional certifications in MBSE
