The Opportunity:
The Systems Engineer - Integrations will focus on developing, managing, and optimizing data integrations and pipelines using tools like Informatica and Airbyte. This role ensures seamless data flow across business systems, enabling accurate and timely information exchange to support Gloo360's operational and analytical needs. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable integration solutions, troubleshoot data flow issues, and enhance overall data management capabilities. This position is remote based at our headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Integration Development & Management

- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using Informatica, Airbyte, and related tools.
- Build and optimize workflows for integrating data between business systems such as Salesforce, Workday, and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all integration points, identifying and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- System Monitoring & Optimization

- Monitor the performance of integration pipelines, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or failures.
- Continuously improve pipeline efficiency and scalability, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
- Ensure robust error-handling mechanisms are in place to minimize downtime and data inconsistencies.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

- Work closely with data teams, business intelligence, and IT to align integrations with business needs.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and design integration solutions that meet their objectives.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on integration goals.
- Data Governance & Quality Assurance

- Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, ensuring security, compliance, and quality across pipelines.
- Perform regular audits to validate data accuracy and consistency within integrations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of integration architectures, workflows, and configurations.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Research and recommend new tools, techniques, and processes to enhance integration capabilities.
- Automate repetitive data integration tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Stay informed about advancements in data integration tools and methodologies, applying them to BTS's operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience with data integration platforms like Informatica, Airbyte, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of APIs, ETL processes, and middleware for system integrations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with data governance and quality assurance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Compensation: $97,000 - $165,000
