Systems Engineer II, Infrastructure

The Systems Engineer II, Infrastructure is responsible for both internal and external facing responsibilities. In this position, you will be a part of our managed services team acting as a critical point of contact between iT1 Consulting and the rest of the organization, as well as iT1’s customers, network troubleshooting, system administration, among other duties.  You will ensure all assigned tasks are being completed in adherence to iT1 standards. 

• Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software related issues. 
• Research, resolve, and respond to internal and client issues within scope of the NOC team’s responsibilities in a timely manner. 
• Intermediate level of network troubleshooting and configuration (Meraki, Cisco, VPN tunnel creation, etc.) 
• Intermediate level of troubleshooting Windows based systems, i.e., Windows 10, file servers and Windows Server platforms 
• Intermediate level of troubleshooting in Azure i.e., server, storage, and networking, active directory services 
• Supporting O365 office productivity software i.e., Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc. 
• Provide internal IT support for sales and operations staff to include basic computer troubleshooting, phone, and email support. 
• Advanced level of active directory management 
• Maintain and develop required diagrams, documentation, and procedures of Internal/Client environments 
• Update and maintain IT asset management records. 
• Be a point of escalation for technical support issues. 

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of network support experience
• 5-7 years of previous infrastructure support experience
• 5-7 years of O365 support experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Technology (preferred)
• Established track record in IT technologies (Linux/Windows Servers, Active Directory, Data Center and Client/Server Application Support)

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certifications or experience
• Experience with monitoring platforms and tools
• Experience with using and/or modifying JSON scripts
• Experience interacting with external customers
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Good documentation skills
• Ability to accurately follow written technical work instructions
• Able to work in a structured environment
• Strong organization, time management, and prioritizing skills

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA
• CCNP
• Azure Administrator

Physical Demands May Include

• Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
• Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
• Near vision (working with small objects or reading small print) 
• Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
• Hearing requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00pm-4:30am AZ
