Kalman & Company is seeking to hire an experienced Systems Analyst for an onsite position located at the Pentagon. This position is tied to a government proposal. An Active Secret clearance is required to be qualified for this opportunity.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with requirements definition and refinement; process reengineering; evaluating Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) software; and performing alternative system design reviews.
- Evaluating emerging IT capabilities (to include identifying and evaluating prototype solutions that insert Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning into daily business operations) and presenting technical findings to the Government for consideration.
- Assisting with the benchmarking, operational capability demonstration, and integration of commercial program/portfolio management tools, source selection tools, and modeling/simulation tools.
- Assisting with Business Process Reengineering and Enterprise Architecture efforts to ensure compliance with National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requirements for defense business system modernizations exceeding $1 million.
- Assisting with the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC) process, specifically by providing technical support in the areas of IT governance, security reviews, business requirements reviews, and overall IT audit compliance.
- Provide technical and functional support to the SAF/AQX IT portfolio management team to assist in streamlining the systems portfolio.
- Specific tasks include:
- Analyzing, drafting, and reviewing proposed procedures and implementation plans aimed at significantly reducing the overall number of legacy systems and applications in the active portfolio.
- Application Consolidation Support
- Identifying and documenting critical technical considerations that impact system consolidation, and compiling data on leading-edge industry methods to realize successful consolidation.
- Providing data analysis and systems mapping to support the Government's refinement of the SAF/AQ portfolio vision, and assisting in drafting updated strategies for systems-to-services transformations that increase operational efficiency and accelerate capability delivery.
- The Contractor shall provide specialized technical support for enterprise architecture, application architecture, and emerging technologies consistent with the AQ vision and goals, including Oracle and Enterprise Business Systems (EBS). Specific tasks include:
- Analyzing SAF/AQ lines of business, identifying business functions, aligning Automated Information System (AIS) functions, mapping data categories, and identifying Authoritative Data Sources (ADS) for each category, system, and line of business.
- Analyzing the current technical hosting environments, application portfolios, and active tools within the AQ ecosystem.
- Supporting the development of technical gap analyses to identify target technologies, application modifications, and data strategies required to achieve the end-state architecture vision.
- Supporting the prioritization of technology, application, and data initiatives, and assisting with the development of interim-state architectures that establish a phased, step-by-step path to achieve modernization goals
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship is required.
- An Active Secret Clearance is required.
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience (Computer/Systems Engineering)
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- ITIL and/or CISSP certification
