IT System Analyst

 

To work as a member of the IT Operations Group, to provide excellent IT support to our internal customers across all EMEA sites.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member within the IT Operations Group EMEA.
  • Provide daily user support for Limerick Manufacturing and EMEA systems/users.
  • Work with the company’s IT Service Management processes and methodologies.
  • Build, configure and support local IT Systems – Primarily Windows Servers, Linux Servers, VMware/ ESX, Solaris and VMS
  • Build, support, upgrade backend infrastructure – range of technologies from Dell blade environment to legacy Sun systems.
  • Knowledge of databases - SQL, Oracle; Backups - Networker , Rubrik, URBackup
  • Proactively identify areas for service/system improvement. Work with the team to implement these improvements across EMEA.
  • Take ownership of second level support calls and escalate where appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot issues with users relating to terminals, FAB tools and servers.
  • Provide support to on-site and remote users.
  • Manage and perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks in accordance with company procedures.
  • Represent the business in a professional and positive manner at all times with clients and vendors.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needs.
  • Develop and maximize ideas and opportunities in order to promote new technologies.
  • Grasp opportunities to develop the role in Windows and Linux administration, virtualization and other relevant technologies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Relevant third level qualification or a degree in Computer Science / Information technology
