About the Role
This role combines application support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance of legacy enterprise systems operating in a production environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support, maintain, and enhance enterprise insurance and driver licensing applications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and production issues.
• Modify and maintain existing PowerBuilder applications according to business requirements.
• Support and investigate batch processing failures and implement required fixes.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux KornShell scripts used in operational processes.
• Work with SQL databases to analyze data issues and support application functionality.
• Maintain and support interfaces between PowerBuilder applications and .NET-based middleware services.
• Participate in system analysis activities, including documenting business requirements and use cases.
• Create and maintain application documentation and technical specifications.
• Utilize ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, and support teams to deliver stable and efficient solutions.
• Participate in application upgrades, deployments, testing, and production releases.
  

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with PowerBuilder development and support.
• Experience working with SQL databases, including query development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of KornShell (KSH) scripting.
• Experience supporting batch processing systems and scheduled jobs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience working within ITIL-based support environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other Qualifications:

· Experience with SAP ASE (Sybase) databases.

· Experience with Micro Focus COBOL applications.

· Experience supporting legacy enterprise systems.

· Familiarity with ServiceNow.

· Experience with HP ALM or similar application lifecycle management tools.

· Insurance, government, or public-sector industry experience.

· Experience supporting critical business applications with high availability requirements.
