We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. This role is responsible for managing system infrastructure, ensuring day-to-day operational stability, and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support across client, server, storage, and network environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where reliability, performance, and responsiveness matter.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Support day-to-day IT system operations, monitoring, and maintenance across client/server/storage/network devices and mobile systems
- Manage and maintain UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Install, configure, and load operating system software and system enhancements
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network components to maintain system integrity
- Support dispatch systems and remain engaged through full issue resolution
- Escalate issues appropriately and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization
- Perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Implement improvements to enhance system reliability and performance
Requirements:
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required
- Five (5) years of Systems Administrator experience supporting programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted for the degree
- Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support
- Experience supporting enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, and network devices
- Experience optimizing system operations and performing capacity planning
Desired Experience:
- UNIX/Linux system administration experience (Linux, Solaris)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed computing concepts
- Performance tuning and capacity planning at both hardware and software levels
- Ability to write simple Perl or Bourne Shell scripts
- Experience with Oracle installation and setup
- Programming experience in Perl or Bourne Shell
- Understanding of how C/C++, DBMS, and Perl integrate within enterprise systems

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
