We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join a program that builds, deploys, and supports secure enterprise systems used by teams across multiple environments and locations worldwide. This team provides operational support and ensures systems remain reliable, secure, and available for users operating at different security levels in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems.
- Manage and support IT infrastructure, including client/server environments, storage, networking devices, and mobile systems.
- Monitor system performance and availability; identify, diagnose, and resolve issues to maintain operational continuity.
- Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Support incident escalation and clearly communicate system status and resolution progress to agency management and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting and dispatch coordination, remaining engaged through issue resolution.
- Configure, administer, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems, including OS installation and patching.
- Install, configure, and maintain network components; troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
- Implement system and operating system enhancements to improve reliability, performance, and security.
Requirements:
- Level 0:
- 3+ years of SA experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 7 years.
- Level 1:
- 7+ years of SA experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 11 years.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
- Level 2:
- 10+ years of SA experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 14 years.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
- Level 3:
- 15+ years of SA experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 20 years.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
