The System Administrator has overall responsibility for maintaining the networks, servers, operating systems, and communication links. Further, to manage the resources dedicated to supporting office automation, PCs and end-user equipment, network and systems security and database administration.
The Information Technology Team consists of a Director, Senior Data Analyst, Data Analyst, and Help Desk Technician. This position offers a hybrid work schedule of up to two remote days per week after training.
Some of the essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for prioritizing, categorizing, assigning, updating and resolving all IT help requests in accordance with HRCU's service standards.
- Responsible for network management, server management, data processing, cloud services, telecommunications, and other technology components.
- Manages Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core IT technologies and protocols.
- Provides primary support for the company's network, mobile devices, peripheral equipment, and PC/LAN servers which includes planning, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software. Responsible for patch management. Must monitor, troubleshoot, test, and approve/reject patches in accordance with HRCU's patch management procedures.
- Makes calls to IT vendors when necessary to escalate problems or coordinate service requests.
- Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and otherwise supporting the PC hardware and software products, wide area communications, database systems, network and systems security and access controls.
- Responsible for maintaining the security of HRCU's IT systems and data. Must adhere to industry best practices for information security.
- Responsible for monitoring network, server, and telecommunication performance.
- Oversees the maintenance of hardware and software at the company's disaster recovery site and provides technical support for disaster recovery testing.
- Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, restoring, and testing backup systems.
- Assists with vendor management due diligence requirements, disaster recovery testing, and other IT compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience with information systems management, support, or related information systems work; OR equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment is a plus.
- Independent and self-motivation skills highly desired.
- Previous data processing experience including networks, PCs, data communications, mainframe, PC programming, Azure cloud services management, and virtualized machine management.
- Technical planning, project management, and coordination.
- Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other data processing professionals as well as non-technical users.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work and travel independently, use general office equipment, and demonstrate strong individual initiative.
Compensation: Range $70,000 to $82,500 DOE
