IDEALFORCE have a Contract position available immediately for a Systems Administrator/SR to join our customer in Phoenix,AZ. This is an ONSITE position. Job Description

Support the team in all production and non-production operations activity including problem resolution, cycle support and configuration management related to their specific operations. Pay close attention to detail and the surrounding implications of all actions, be able to multi-task, and be independent and self-motivated with the desire and work ethic to thrive and excel in a critical application support.

Qualifications


-Implement security patches and update requirements as needed
-Experience in using automation tools and processes for systems management and monitoring.
-Plan and implement routine maintenance of the application software and databases, all of which require periodic scheduled maintenance windows to complete.
-Manage, measure and control day-to-day operational activities.
-Take proactive measures to minimize and avoid service impacts.
-Monitor application service performance, gather and assess service metrics, and create service improvement plans as part of the Continual Service Improvement process.
-Deploy Releases.
-Routine application maintenance – review log space, alerts.
-Routine middleware maintenance – apply patches, upgrades.
-Work with DBAs on routine database maintenance – build indexes, review table spaces.
-Experience in automated job scheduling tools. 
-Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills. Critical thinker with excellent judgment and initiative. 
-Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers. 
-Ability to take responsibility/ownership for decisions, seeking advice where appropriate. 
-Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to provide clear, effective communication regarding technical issues and impact to the management. 
-Time management, attention to detail, expectation setting and organizational skills to provide solid service management. 
-Ability to work on own initiatives with minimal management supervision. 
-Coordinate with tier 1 hosting service provider and help desk for operations related matters.
Additional Information 
-Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years of systems administration experience is required.
-Experience in VMware vSphere,Windows 2012/2008 is required.
-Experience in WebSphere administration is a plus.
-Experience with CGI Advantage platform is a huge plus.
-Experience with IBM Maximo/ IBM Tririga, SAP Business Objects is a plus.
-Experience in supporting any ERP financial solution is a plus.
-Experience in supporting Java based application environments is a plus.
