About the Role

The System Administrator will assist in the maintenance, support, and optimization of our IT infrastructure. This role involves working closely with senior IT staff and the Director of IT to ensure system integrity, security, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a foundational understanding of system administration, and is excited about growing their career in IT.

This role is located on-site 4 days a week at either our headquarters in New York City or Jersey City, NJ office. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • System Maintenance: Assist in installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software components.
  • User Support: Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitoring: Help monitor system performance and network security, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of configurations, setups, and procedures.
  • Backup and Recovery: Support data backup processes and assist in recovery operations when necessary.
  • Security Compliance: Assist in implementing security protocols and updates to protect against cyber threats.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work with the IT team on projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

About You

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within an IT Operations role
  • Basic knowledge and familiarity of macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiar with MDM platforms (Kandji, JamF) administration and management.
  • Familiar with Identity Provider (Okta, JumpCloud) administration and management.
  • Familiar with administration of Google Workspace or other productivity business applications
  • Familiar with meeting room AV (Google Meet) management.
  • Understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC mechanisms is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

The annual base salary for the Systems Administrator expected to be between $70,000 to $100,000. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
