The Systematic Commodities Trading team is responsible for developing and researching best in class quantitative solutions across all products and derivatives traded within the Global Commodity Group.  The team covers alpha generative solutions and liquidity provision to better serve our clients and partnership teams. 

As a Vice President in the Cross Asset Commodities Trading team, you will research and implement solutions spanning energy, metals, and agricultural markets. You are expected to have a deep understanding of the relevant infrastructure and industry sectors across these asset classes. Collaborating with partners in banking, sales, trading, risk, and research, you will deliver comprehensive client coverage, offering market insights and transaction ideas that align with our clients’ risk management, hedging, or commodity financing goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain key client relationships across energy, metals, and agricultural commodities.
  • Demonstrate fluency in the infrastructure and industry sectors relevant to multiple commodity asset classes.
  • Work with partners in banking, sales, trading, risk, and research to provide comprehensive client coverage.
  • Provide market information and transaction ideas to meet clients’ risk management, hedging, or commodity financing objectives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, statistics, or computer science or related
  • 7 years of experience in commodity trading, structuring, or origination across multiple asset classes (energy, metals, agriculture).
  • Developed and established relationships with key market participants in various commodity sectors.
  • Python-based knowledge
  • Critical thinker and driver of trade concepts and cross-asset themes.
  • Strong technical skills and deep understanding of relevant products and market structure across commodities.
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set, including effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong team player who partners well with colleagues and can lead a diverse group of stakeholders through the various stages of the deal process.
  • Proven track record of leading the negotiation and execution of structured commodity transactions across asset classes.
