As a Testing Manager at Texas Instruments, you will lead our newly established Embedded Systems Testing team focused on comprehensive validation of wireless communication technologies, boot ROM, and driver implementations for embedded devices. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise in embedded systems validation combined with proven team management capabilities to drive testing excellence across our Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Wi-SUN protocol stacks, boot ROM implementations and device drivers. You will build and scale a high-performance testing organization from the ground up while ensuring comprehensive coverage of interoperability, compliance, performance, and reliability testing across all embedded system components.
Minimum requirements:
8+ years of experience in Embedded systems testing
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Master's degree preferred - Experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Deep expertise in any of the wireless protocol stacks: Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Wi-SUN

- RF and wireless testing: Experience with protocol analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and wireless test equipment

- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technical talent
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership and external partners

- Drive end-to-end validation strategies for wireless protocol stacks (Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Wi-SUN)
- Oversee comprehensive testing of boot ROM implementations, including secure boot processes
- Lead validation efforts for device drivers across multiple hardware platforms and peripheral interfaces
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of interoperability, compliance, performance, and reliability testing
- Lead technical reviews and provide expert guidance on testing methodologies
- Program Management
- Manage testing timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
- Coordinate with certification bodies and industry consortiums for compliance testing requirements
- Drive risk assessment and mitigation strategies for complex embedded systems validation
- Establish and maintain testing infrastructure, tools, and automated testing frameworks
- Quality Assurance & Process Excellence
- Define and implement testing standards, processes, and quality gates for all system components
- Drive adoption of advanced testing methodologies including automated regression testing
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and product quality
- Ensure traceability from requirements through validation and customer deployment
