System Test Engineer

The JCO Development and Sustainment contract will provide rapid capability development and operational readiness leveraging industry best-practices and innovative solutions to ensure Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) meets operational requirements and matures existing government owned software in an efficient and effective manner. The purpose of the JCO effort is to provide Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile software development and maintenance/sustainment support deployment of capabilities through application releases, containerization, integration, and data engineering work.

Job description

The System Test Engineer is responsible for translating customer requirements, contractual obligations, and technical constraints into integrated test, evaluation, and transition strategies that support delivery of enterprise capabilities. This role supports the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of system integration and test activities to ensure systems meet defined requirements for performance, reliability, and operability.

In this role, you will develop and implement test and evaluation strategies, plans, procedures, and schedules that validate system and enterprise capability requirements. You will define verification and validation approaches, including customer acceptance criteria, and ensure full traceability of requirements throughout the system lifecycle.

You will coordinate closely with stakeholders to support system integration, test readiness, evaluation, and transition activities, while establishing and following standardized processes and best practices. This includes assessing system designs, architectures, risks, and requirements to determine testability and integration impacts.

You will execute and oversee testing activities, analyze results, and produce comprehensive evaluation reports, including risk assessments and performance metrics. You will also review and validate system discrepancies, conduct regression testing to confirm implemented fixes, and ensure continued compliance with requirements through formal verification methods.

In addition, you will monitor testing processes for continuous improvement, incorporate lessons learned, and provide direct support to customers and program stakeholders throughout integration and transition efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise in support of assigned technical tasks and program objectives.
• Apply analytical skills to support process improvement efforts, specialized studies, and requirements development activities.
• Conduct analysis and planning activities to support the development of requirements, functional models, system procedures, and functional architectures, as well as other related technical and management deliverables.

You MUST have:

• A DoD TS clearance is required; DoD TS/SCI preferred.
• 5 years recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.

It’s GREAT if you also have:

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies to include: UX testing, integration testing, performance testing, targeted smoke test, targeted regression, and build support.
• Practical experience testing in a cloud environment.
• Practical experience testing and analyzing Restful interfaces and sending/receiving Restful information.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an associated field
