GDH Consulting is looking for a System Test Engineer professional to work with a Fortune 500 company.
Job DescriptionYou will test end-to-end solutions using Spirent and Ixia. A strong knowledge of VMware Hypervisor will be required, as well as networking knowledge equivalent to a CCNA. Data Center knowledge is preferred, but not required. Python or scripting knowledge is a plus. This is a customer facing role in which a successful candidate will:
- Consult with customers to author and revise test plans based upon the risk assessment
- Perform setup and execution of customer specific tests
- Consult with customers regarding the application and interpretation of test results
- Perform analysis of network design
- Build virtual networks in test labs to resolve more complex problems and issues
Must haves:
- Testing background
- in depth troubleshooting
- customer facing skills
- general route/switch technology knowledge, preferably in a data center, but not necessary, especially if testing skills are strong
- experience with IXIA and Spirent
