About Insignito

At Insignito, we turn sound into smart drone detection.

We're an Israeli defense-tech startup and an affiliate company within the Sentrycs Group, developing advanced acoustic technologies that detect, track, and classify drones by their unique sound signatures.

Our flagship product, DUMBO, adds a passive sensing layer to counter-drone systems, helping tackle real-world security challenges.

Combining startup agility, deep technological expertise, and the strength of the Sentrycs Group, we're building innovative solutions that make a real impact.

About the position

We are looking for a System Test & Automation Engineer to join our team.

Join Insignito and help build the testing processes and automation that enable us to deliver reliable, customer-ready products while developing quickly.

You will test across software, system integration, and complete operational environments. The role combines automated software testing, hands-on lab testing, and full-system validation in the field.

Beyond finding bugs, you will make testing repeatable, efficient, and scalable, working closely with software, algorithm, and hardware engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and own the QA process, test plans, regression coverage, and release-readiness criteria across our products.
  • Build and maintain automated tests and reusable testing infrastructure.
  • Test complete workflows across software, algorithms, hardware, networking, and user interfaces.
  • Plan and execute software-only, lab, and full-system field tests.
  • Automate test setup, execution, data collection, and reporting, integrating repeatable checks into CI/CD.
  • Investigate failures, document reproducible defects, work with developers on root causes, and verify fixes.
  • Provide clear release-readiness assessments, including coverage, unresolved defects, and remaining risks.
  • Use AI and coding agents to accelerate test development and failure analysis while independently validating their output.
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Strong Python skills for developing maintainable tests, tools, and automation.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux, APIs, networking, and debugging using logs and system data.
  • Ability to design test plans and prioritize coverage based on product risk.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently establish testing workflows and drive issues through resolution.
