We seek an experienced System Technical Lead who possesses a strong technical acumen and exceptional leadership skills. This position requires an individual who can effectively oversee and mentor the technical team, ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services to our diverse client base.
About this position:
The System Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the technical team, troubleshooting complex system issues, implementing best practices, and serving as the primary technical contact for clients. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of system architecture, cloud services, and network security protocols.
This role will require you to work closely with management to develop strategies for enhancing service delivery and improving team performance. You will also be actively involved in project planning and execution, ensuring that client requirements are met on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers and administrators
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues as necessary
- Oversee system installations, upgrades, and configurations
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and deliverables
- Support the continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement
- Assist in the development of client reports and documentation
- Conduct training sessions for team members and clients
- 5+ years of experience in a systems technical lead role or similar
- Strong knowledge of system architecture and cloud services
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of network protocols and security best practices
- Hands-on experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning of server systems
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus
