BAE Systems is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join the ICBM Minuteman III team, with a concentration in propulsion/battery systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform systems engineering and integration duties, logistical analysis, test and assessment, and other relevant engineering efforts required to support mature and proven weapon systems.
- Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, propulsion rocket engines, and solid stage motors.
- Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must have an ABET Accredited Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Candidates graduating in or prior to May 2025 will be considered.
- 0 - 2 years of industry or military experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- ICBM experience, especially Minuteman III specific: Reentry, Guidance and Navigation, Inertial Measurement, Propulsion, Ordnance, and/or battery technology experience.
- ICBM Field Maintenance
- Depot Repair
- Risk management
- Configuration management
- Logistical Analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes
- Familiarity with technical data packages
- Experience in modeling and/or simulation software
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
