System Engineer 1
Salary: $140,000 - $145,800
We’re looking for a talented System Engineer to join us on a new contract and help shape the future of mission-critical systems. This role is all about turning big ideas into reliable, effective solutions. You’ll partner with users, technical teams, and leadership to analyze requirements, design cutting-edge architectures, and bring complex systems to life.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate user needs and high-level concepts into detailed system requirements.
- Lead design and development activities, ensuring technical integrity every step of the way.
- Guide users in defining requirements and exploring innovative solutions.
- Drive integration of new technologies, designs, and architectures into existing operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architecture, and design artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership in planning, integration, and testing efforts.
- Collaborate with government counterparts, stakeholders, and executives to resolve challenges and ensure alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and validate system requirements to ensure compatibility with established architectures (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
- Contribute to critical engineering documents such as System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design and implement new capabilities.
- Define verification processes to ensure systems meet requirements.
- Review program plans and provide input on work breakdown structures and schedules.
- Derive and refine lower-level requirements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and feasibility.
- Develop requirements for information assurance services (confidentiality, integrity, access control, cryptography, etc.).
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience as a System Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline (additional 5 years of experience may substitute for a degree).
- At least 1 year of experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance.
