Job Description
Your mission during this flight:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the design of the system aligns with overall business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The strategic contribution of this role is to ensure that the designed system maximizes value to the company and can be operated efficiently and effectively during its product lifecycle.
- You will create architecture concepts for integration of various systems
- You will manage functional and physical integration of systems on aircraft and ground segments
- You will define and manage hardware and software interfaces
- You will perform and review requirements decomposition
- You will support functional decompositions to define aircraft and system functions
- You will coordinate between multiple stakeholders, internal and external to Volocopter, for the success of our projects
- You will adapt systems engineering in a pragmatic way to support team objectives and fast development
Qualifications
Check in your professional skills:
- Master in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
- 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering and firmware development, with a focus on avionics systems
- Strong understanding of UAS and support system functions and systems design
- Strong understanding of avionics systems, including system-level design, integration, and testing
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience in writing and managing requirements
- Knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements for aviation products, such as RTCA/DO-178, RTCA/DO-254, and ARINC-429 as well as ARINC-825 beneficial
- Knowledge of the following tools is highly beneficial: Windchill RV&S, Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Modeling Language (UML), Capella, Basic CAD skills
- Drone piloting experience is beneficial along with pilot license and radio license
- The following soft skills are highly beneficial:
- Excellent teamwork communication and collaboration skills,
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment,
- Ability to manage varied tasks and prioritize workload,
- Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
