Weeghman & Briggs is seeking a System Engineer 2 to join our growing team and support an important mission within the Federal Government.
Location: Columbia, MD
Telework: Up to 2 days/week
Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
System Engineer Level 2
Salary: $191,000 - 212,500
Description: The UX team collaborates with developers, managers, and system engineers to ensure intelligence products remain modern, cutting-edge, and highly usable. The team researches and documents user workflows, designs intuitive front-end systems, creates mockups, engages with users for feedback, and works closely with multiple development teams to enhance analyst tools. The team uses tools such as, PenPot, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Required Skills: Experience in each of the usability and software engineering cycle phases, creating user interface design specifications through researching and documenting user requirements including profiles, frequent tasks, workflows, and user scenarios, while working closely with application developers, experience directing/conducting usability testing, and proficiency in one or more design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, XD, and PenPot.
Desired Skills: Certifications related to Human Factors Engineering or Human Centered Computing are a plus.
YOE / Degree Requirements: 14 years with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related field) or 19 years without the degree.
