Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced System Architect to lead the architecture and technical design of ThetaRay’s platform.
In this role, you will define scalable system architecture for AI-driven data platforms, working closely with product management, engineering teams, and customer-facing teams. You will guide technical decisions, ensure architecture consistency across teams, and support successful delivery of ThetaRay solutions.
The role also includes customer-facing technical engagement, supporting pre-sales activities and providing architectural guidance during complex enterprise deployments.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall architecture of ThetaRay’s platform and solutions
- Design scalable distributed systems for large-scale financial data processing
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to translate product requirements into architecture
- Guide development teams on architecture decisions, scalability, and performance
- Support pre-sales engagements and customer implementations with technical expertise
- Design cloud-native architectures for SaaS and on-premise deployments
- Guide architecture of AI-driven analytics and data processing platforms
- Promote architectural best practices across teams
- 5+ years of hands-on software development using Java or Python
- 5+ years of experience in architecture or technical leadership roles
- Experience designing distributed systems and large-scale data platforms
- Experience with public cloud architectures (preferably Azure)
- Experience with Kubernetes-based environments such as AKS or OpenShift
- Experience with Python data processing frameworks such as Spark, Pandas, or Airflow
- Experience developing microservices using FastAPI or Spring Boot
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Object Storage, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit-learn
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with GenAI frameworks or agent-based architectures such as LangGraph or similar technologies
- Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools
- Experience in the fintech industry
