About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to join our team and lead the development of the next generation of Android-based infotainment systems for the automotive industry. You will play a critical role in designing, integrating, and optimizing complex audio, video, and embedded systems, ensuring a seamless and high-performance user experience for drivers and passengers.
What You Will Do
- Lead the system architecture for automotive Android infotainment systems, with expertise in audio, video, and automotive embedded systems.
- Design and define the technical architecture for all three domains, including signal processing, routing, playback solutions, hardware interfaces, and software frameworks.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, acoustics, electrical) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the entire system.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the designed systems.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in automotive audio, video, embedded systems, and Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
- Identify and implement innovative features and functionalities to enhance user experience for audio and video playback, navigation, and other functionalities.
- Participate in system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve audio, video, and embedded system related issues.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure the integration of third-party audio, video, and embedded system components.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in system architecture, with a strong focus on automotive embedded systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and its capabilities for audio, video, and embedded system integration.
- Proven experience in designing and integrating complex audio and video systems for real-time applications.
- Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts and their application in automotive audio systems.
- Expertise in automotive networking protocols (CAN bus, MOST, A2B, etc.), embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Passion for automotive technology and a desire to create innovative user experiences.
What is Nice to Have
Experience with functional safety concepts (ISO 26262) is a plus.
