Change the world. Love your job.
We are seeking a highly experienced System Architect – Platform Engineering to define and drive the architecture of core platform systems that power enterprise-scale applications across hybrid environments (on-prem data centers and public cloud).
This role focuses on end-to-end system design, ensuring seamless integration across compute, storage, networking, and platform services, while delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will combine deep systems engineering expertise with architectural leadership, enabling the development of a unified, cloud-like platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead end-to-end system architecture for enterprise platform engineering, including compute, storage, networking, and platform services
- Design scalable and resilient platform systems across hybrid environments (on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Architect and standardize core platform components, including:
- Kubernetes-based platforms (OpenShift, SUSE Rancher)
- Infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking integration)
- API-driven and self-service platform capabilities
- Drive architecture for high-performance systems, including HPC and GPU-based workloads
- Ensure tight integration between:
- Infrastructure layers (network, compute, storage)
- Platform layers (Kubernetes, APIs, developer services)
- Define system-level design standards, reference architectures, and best practices
- Collaborate with network, platform, SRE, and application teams to ensure cohesive architecture across the stack
- Design for high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
- Guide modernization efforts, transforming legacy systems into modular, distributed platform architectures
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies aligned with long-term platform strategy
Minimum Requirements

Texas Instruments Compensation & Benefits Highlights
The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Texas Instruments and has not been reviewed or approved by Texas Instruments.
-
Strong & Reliable Incentives — Profit sharing and annual bonuses are portrayed as a meaningful, formula-linked upside that can materially lift total earnings in strong years. An employee stock purchase plan with a discount further reinforces recurring, wealth-building incentives.
-
Retirement Support — A 401(k) match is described as a stable core benefit, with some references to additional legacy employer contributions and even pension-like elements for certain cohorts. This framing positions long-term savings support as a notable part of the overall rewards package.
-
Healthcare Strength — Medical coverage is depicted as broadly comprehensive, with preventive care and access to HSA/FSA features cited as value-adds. Company-seeded HSA contributions are repeatedly characterized as an important offset to the plan design for those enrolled.
