Introduction
We are looking for an experienced IT System Architect in the domain of IT for Development & Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical roadmap of end-to-end software development tooling and services, including digital workspace (VDI), SCM, CI, CD, Artifact management, etc. in a cloud-enabled ecosystem towards a variety of software development communities using Java, C#, Python, etc. In addition, the System Architect will work in close alignment with other IT departments such as the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and external vendors.
Naturally this role requires knowledge of modern SRE practices (e.g. monitoring, disaster recovery & high availability), cloud native technology such as K8S. Excellent soft skills to collaborate effectively with the counterparts in the Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is crucial to this role.

Design and manage the evolution of a set of IT services (both Saas and traditional) in the area of Software Development tooling, in the context of a mission critical user base and other departments delivering IT services that are part of the Solution.
Job Description
As a System Architect, you have the following responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the technical roadmap for software development tooling and services.
- Work closely with other IT departments and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of software development tooling and services.
- Design and guide implementation of infrastructure and automation solutions to support software development tooling and services in a cloud environment, including K8S clusters, serverless architecture, and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance and security of fit-for-purpose solutions implemented in system teams attached to one or multiple SAFe Agile Release Trains (ARTs) by providing guidance and assistances on solution architecture.
- Collaborate with the Chief Product Owner (CPO) and Release Train Engineer (RTE) as the leading coalition.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparts in the Development and Engineering (D&E) sector to foster collaboration and understanding between the IT and D&E sectors.

Education
- At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Scaled Agile Framework is a strong plus.
- ITIL certification is a plus
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as IT architect in the context of providing software development shared services (SaaS and traditional), strong affiliation with SDLC.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture (on-prem and cloud), cloud cost optimization, compliance and security.
- Experience with SAFe WoW and system teams is a strong plus.

Context
Our department provides a very diverse set of IT services to the Development & Engineering and Customer Service business units. We manage hardware stacks in our customer fabs, connectivity between ASML and our customers and deliver tools for software distribution, customer service and development tooling for software developers in our Business Line Applications. We also design, implement and operate various hosting platforms (incl. VM based, K8S based and cloud).
