Automotive Cabin Experience (ACE) Business Unit develops industry leading technology solutions including Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL), Audio transceivers (A2B) and Network solutions (E2B, 10-Base-TIS). The Ecosystem Strategy & Multi-Market group in ACE BU is seeking a creative, collaborative, customer-centric System Applications Engineer with experiences in embedded systems & software. We work closely with our customers and partners to define system requirements and develop proof of concept demonstrations to highlight our technologies in various end market applications. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of system architectures, different scope of projects, solve challenging problems, and help build an ecosystem to leverage ACE technology solutions to a broader customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers to determine the system requirements, understand the existing system architecture, and identify if or how ACE technologies, Audio, Networking and Video solutions, can help to improve.
- Define the project scope and drive the development of market-specific reference or ecosystem solutions, both hardware and software, to support customer adoption.
- Collaborate with customers, ecosystem solution partners, and other ADI business units in solution development and system enhancement.
- Build strong technical networks across ADI and with ecosystem partners to create differentiating application solutions and system specifications.
- Provide internal technical support and training to FAEs and build technical expertise within the organization.
- Create collaterals including system block diagrams and technical articles.
- Develop market insights, including exploring and understanding competition landscape, market trends and requirements.
- Identify new or emerging technologies and applications and translate them into product or solution proposals that help drive the development of ACE business and technology roadmaps.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification with 8+ years’ experience.
- Demonstrate willingness to take on challenges and explore new domains in technologies and services.
- Demonstrate system-level thinking, effective communication skills and good technical writing skills.
- Experience in high-speed and high-power PCB design.
- Knowledgeable in Python or C programming, and critical attributes of embedded software.
- Experience in writing scripts or programs with provided SDK or API instructions.
- Ability to travel and support on-site customer and partner meetings as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in drivers, communication protocols and interfaces (CAN, LIN, I2C, UART and SPI, Ethernet protocols, etc).
- Experience in automotive or industrial system design, processes, and platforms (ASPICE, AUTOSAR, etc.)
- Experience in real-time operating systems (RTOs) and embedded systems.
- Experience in system modeling and simulations.
- Experience working with external partners and vendors.
