Maverc Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to support one of our customers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator with strong networking experience to manage and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in systems administration, with hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network devices and services in a secure and scalable environment.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux), including system updates, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage network infrastructure such as firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN solutions to support a secure enterprise environment.
  • Implement and maintain security controls and policies in line with CMMC Level 2 or higher.
  • Perform regular system and network vulnerability scans, remediation, and documentation.
  • Manage directory services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) and multi-factor authentication solutions.
  • Assist with incident response, forensic analysis, and recovery procedures as needed.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support and assist with cybersecurity audits and assessments.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for DoD-related work)
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Network + or CMMC-CA/CP
  • 3–5 years of experience in System/Network Administration
  • 3-5 years Experience with secure network configuration and segmentation
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Active Directory, or similar network appliance

Desired:

  • Working Knowledge of CMMC/NIST-800-171
  • Working Knowledge of DISA STIGS
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash for automation
