The Role
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst Principal to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate.
The position will be based out of Kings Bay, GA with the expectation that they will travel to Norfolk, VA or Bremerton, WA for Inactivation (INAC) events when needed, staying there for extended periods as required. In addition, the position will be required travel to Cape Canaveral, FL; Washington, DC; & Groton, CT as required.
The person selected for this job requisition will have 25-50% travel required.
This position is responsible for providing direct support to SP206 (SSP Logistics Branch) for the Inactivation of the OHIO class submarines. This includes the development of support documents, supportability analyses, Analysis and evaluation of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) business requirements, Life Cycle Management, and participation in BAE Systems Engineering and Logistics team activities associated with the OHIO class Inactivation. Position includes providing technical support to SP206 for OHIO class matters regarding sustainment initiatives, some meeting management, and building presentations for senior representatives. Responsible for the offload and disposition of Strategic Weapons System and Attack Weapons System onboard repair parts prior to, or during the Inactivation of OHIO class submarines.
Specific responsibilities from OD 71892 (OHIO Class Inactivation - Offload of SWS/AWS Onboard Repair Parts)
  • Aid the unit as required for material offload, turn-in, and disposition IAW SP206 guidance and local procedures.
  • Provide progress reports to SP206 on a routine basis.
  • Contact SP20629 to obtain the appropriate TAC prior to shipping material.

Additionally, candidate will be required to manage and/or support other department operations as needed. Analyze current processes and procedures for deficiencies to determine potential corrective action and demonstrate ability to develop self-assessments to validate department operations effectiveness. Must also work with and support corporate Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) personnel to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Education and years of related/relevant work experience required:
    • High School Diploma and at least 10 years of related/relevant work experience or an Associate's Degree and at least 8 years of related/relevant work experience or a Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of related/relevant work experience or a Master's Degree and at least 4 years of related/relevant work experience in supporting Navy Logistics (Submarines).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Technical knowledge and proficiency
    • Strong knowledge of the following areas: COSAL, Submarine Supply Knowledge, Working Knowledge of RSupply and OMMS, COSAL Maintenance Knowledge, Operational Logistics, Logistics Support, and Logistics Data Analysis.
    • Customer Service Support/Customer Oriented.
    • Experience with providing training and conducting audits on various Navy Supply related topics.
    • Proficiency in applications word processing, spreadsheet, and database development programs (such as Word, Excel, ERPs, and Access) to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
    • Analytical and technical problem solving.
    • Must be a self-starter with an ability to research Logistics requirements and provide recommendations with forethought and sound reasoning.
    • Analytical and technical problem solving for effective decision making and for making recommendations in an established reporting chain.
    • Familiar with Project management Principles.
  • Communication
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Effective and proper communication is required for interfacing with a range of seniority of people including company employees, government, military, and prime contractor personnel to effectively coordinate the performance and responses.
  • Professionalism
    • Excellent interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with colleagues, auditors, customers and vendors.
    • Understanding of project managerial relationships and operations.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
    • Good planning, time management and organization skills.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
