Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Playwright with Cucumber
- Execute comprehensive manual testing activities, including test case design, execution, regression testing, and defect management
- Define and implement robust test strategies covering UI, API, and service-layer validation for highly transactional systems
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality practices across the software development lifecycle
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution of complex issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test automation, processes, and quality standards
- 6-8 years of experience in software quality engineering
- The role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with Cucumber, along with performing manual testing activities such as test case creation, test execution, regression testing, and defect tracking.
- Proficiency in BDD, ATDD, TDD, and related practices
- Strong programming skills (commonly Java, Python, or JavaScript)
- Experience creating test cases for new applications using PractiTest and exposure to performance testing using JMeter is preferred
- Skilled in building test strategies for UI, APIs, and service layers in highly transactional systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and troubleshooting complex issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and Postgress
- Knowledge on cloud platforms like GCP to debug the issues via logs and big queries.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing technical specs, log files, and identifying high-risk areas
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
