The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for life cycle management of legacy products including design, quality, manufacturing, and procurement. Also collaborates with applications engineering to ensure customer success.
Key AccountabilitiesAids in the technical support for legacy products, reviewing tolerance stack-ups of proposed design changes from manufacturing/quality/vendors, and performing supporting tasks such as design transfer reviews.
Contributes to the design and development of products with an understanding of the adherence to compliance regulations.
Collaborates with applications engineers to assist with custom products or field issues.
Technical product and design assistance to internal and external customers
Coordinate additional support activities such as design transfer reviews with strategic supply team.
Drawing, Checking, and Submitting ACAD Sales Drawings/ Submittals
Maintain correspondence through the concurrent engineering email box to support parts setup, vendor, supplier quality, etc.
Provide tolerancing assistance for Made to Order products.
BS in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, (Power Point, Excel, Word, Access)
Teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills required.
ACAD/ Inventor Computer skills
Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Customer Driven Sense of Urgency.
Must have ability to lead, train, and drive change.
Self-motivated individual able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
