- Understand the importance of
business continuity planning in a bank, including risk assessment, business
impact analysis, plan development, and the roles and responsibilities involved.
- Identify common security
threats and risks, and understand the importance of physical and IT
infrastructure security in a banking environment.
- Understand security policies
and procedures and their role in maintaining a secure IT infrastructure.
- Manage multiple
stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary
teams to achieve common goals.
- Communicate effectively with
stakeholders on routine and complex matters, proactively resolving issues and
managing expectations independently.
- Understand the banking
industry, its key players, trends, market competition, regulations, and major
economic conditions affecting the industry.
- Understand basic CSR
principles and practices, including social and environmental impact, community
engagement, philanthropy, and legal or regulatory requirements.
- Identify and communicate the
bank's CSR risks, opportunities, and commitments to stakeholders.
- Maintain personnel records
in an organized manner, apply records management software, and ensure accuracy
in record keeping.
- Understand external
relations principles, communicate effectively with external stakeholders, and
support the design of the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in mass communications, Banking & Finance, Business
Administration any related field.
- At least 3 years of cognate
experience.
- Additional academic qualification is
an added advantage.
- Relevant
professional qualification is an added advantage e.g., CIBN, CIPM, PMP etc.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Banking & Finance, Business Administration or related field
- At least 3 years of cognate experience
- Understanding of business continuity planning including risk assessment and business impact analysis
- Knowledge of common security threats and physical and IT infrastructure security in banking
- Familiarity with security policies, procedures, and records management software
- Understanding of CSR principles, social and environmental impact, and stakeholder engagement
- Additional academic qualification
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIBN, CIPM, PMP)
