Join CIMA+ and help build the digital environments that will shape tomorrow's infrastructures! As part of CIMA+'s Virtual Reality team, you'll be working at the cutting edge of 3D capture: terrestrial scanners, mobile SLAM systems, drone LiDAR for our road, rail, industrial and urban infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with engineers, designers and GIS specialists to transform point clouds into accurate, immersive deliverables. The main work location is in the Saguenay, Gatineau, Sherbrooke or Terrebonne regions, but you may have to travel elsewhere.
Primary Responsibilities
Traditional Surveying
- Participate in field surveys and surveys of existing conditions
- Use total stations, GNSS receivers and data collectors
- Prepare field notes, alignment files, geodetic point searches
- Perform calculations and data processing, produce reports and drawings (AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Liaise with owners, customers and site supervisors
Specialization - 3D Capture
- 3D capture: terrestrial laser scanners
- Plan and execute field surveys according to point density, accuracy and safety requirements
- Processing point clouds using software (Trimble Business Center, cloudcompare, PIX4D, Autodesk): cleaning, recalibration, classification, surface extraction and DTMs
- Participate in quality validation (ground checks, tolerances) and documentation of the company's 3D capture procedures
- DEP surveying or DEC civil engineering or geodesy or equivalent
- 2+ years in land surveying and 3D laser scanning (terrestrial or drone)
- Proficiency with surveying instruments (total station, GNSS RTK, levels) and 3D scanners.
- Software: AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, RealWorks, cloudcompare, PIX4D, Autodesk - an asset
- ASP Construction card; valid driver's license and vehicle
- Driver's license and car available for travel
- Assets: Advanced drone pilot certificate, confined space training, pleasure craft operator card
- autonomy, rigor, team spirit, clear communication in French, ability to work outdoors in all seasons and to move around
