Job Description

ProSidian Consulting seeks a Survey Data Analyst on a contract contingent basis [Possible Contract To W-2 FTe] to support and manage survey data initiatives with data expertise that translates numbers into plain English for forward thinking clients seeking to solve problems and improve operations. This role will support and lead CONUS/OCONUS project teams for engagements with Private Companies, Fortune 1,000 Enterprises, and Government Agencies of all sizes. Key work areas include working to develop survey questionnaires, collect data, analyze information, summarize finding, and make recommendations. From Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Surveys as well as Focus Groups - whether it's sales figures, market research, logistics, transportation costs, employee engagement, Service Quality (SERVQUAL), Job Task Analysis (JTA), Customer Satisfaction (CSat), etc.

The Survey Data Analyst shall have the ability to explain questions, explore issues, make observations, and use visual aids. Seeking sustainable continuous improvements the Survey Data Analyst strives for Accuracy and efficiency for better sampling and works to ensure client stakeholders both understand and accurately capture data elements required to solve problems and improve operations. Surveys may be managed through face-to-face interview, focus groups, telephone surveys, and written questionnaires (by mail | by e-mail | web survey). A data analyst's job could mean figuring out how to price new materials for the market, how to reduce transportation costs, solve issues that cost the company money, experience measurement, or determine better platforms for employee engagement.

The Survey Data Analyst is responsible for data processing and analysis activities required for job preparation, field support, quality control (QC), final reporting, final deliverables, and project close out activities as assigned by Project Management. This position operates personal computers with appropriate software programs to support data processing and analysis tasks. This position interfaces closely with ProSidian Engagement Teams to support a range of survey efforts, mapping and deliverables. The Survey Data Analyst must be someone who excels in a fast paced environment, and gets excited about tapping into the voice of the stakeholders/consumers to improve experiences, solve problems, and improve operations.

In this role, you’ll be working closely with a cross-functional team consisting of product managers, marketing, engineers, and other data scientist/analysts to help provide insight in awareness for CONUS/OCONUS Private Companies, Fortune 1,000 Enterprises, and Government Agencies of all sizes. The ideal candidate will help design and manage surveys, derive insights from responses, and present findings to stakeholders to help drive management decisions. You will analyze the results of individual polls and prepare presentations and reports. You will come up with better, faster, cheaper ways to understand pressing business challenges, constraints, and opportunities. You will have the opportunity to ask questions in many different ways; this is an ideal position for someone who loves doing social science and other technical research and wants to get their hands dirty in pursuit of sustainable growth.

  • Work with the ProSidian Engagement Teams to collect and analyze survey data; report trends and connect the dots to drive improvements across the company's customer touchpoints (email, web, chat sessions, mail, etc.)
  • You may assist in designing and launching externally facing surveys using tools like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Vision Critical, and others
  • Provide analysis of perception data reporting and recommendations
  • Write reports and presentation materials and communicates results to appropriate audiences effectively.
  • Assist ProSidian Engagement Teams and the Firm’s Clients with the process of making findings, observations, and recommendations actionable.
  • Effectively translate data into insights by proactively and effectively communicating the “so what” from the data, as well as issues and opportunities exposed by the data.
  • Continuously drive reporting improvement and efficiency by simplifying and automating where possible, eliminating redundancy across the organization, refining metrics, and building new reports to support decision-making.
  • Participate in communicating research results to executives and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other research and reporting teams on complex projects.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, or similar
  • Four-year degree in market research, data analysis, strategy, customer experience or related field preferred.
  • 4-8 years related work experience in a related role (marketing analyst, measurement science, survey insights)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance attention to detail with swift execution
  • Experience in presenting data visually to provide a clear story
  • Experience in synthesizing disparate data sources with effective time management and organization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing surveys through major third party survey vendors with ability to manage external vendors
  • Experience with A/B testing or Statistical Modeling a plus
  • Experience with and understanding of various statistical methods, data extraction and analysis tools
  • Experience with statistical software programs, (such as SPSS and SAS) spreadsheets, proficiency with query and data mining tools for querying complex data warehouses.
  • Experience with unstructured data analysis, including text analytics, secondary sources, and use of secondary survey research.
  • Experience working with research / survey tools including Qualtrics, OpinionLab, SurveyMonkey, Foresee, etc. (Our clients may use both Commercial off The Shelf (COTS) and Custom Designed Platforms)
  • Great communication skills, organized, able to multitask and be a team player, good judgment, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of data governance requiremenst for US Govt. based on international standards
  • Knowledge of Hive, Spark, and other big data tools a plus
  • Knowledge, and understanding of requirements for Compliance With The Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA)
  • Knowledge, and understanding of requirements for InfoSec Compliance - Data Privacy and Information Security
  • Strong ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, optimize data sets, tools, and analysis techniques to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong background in survey design and deriving insights from survey results
  • Strong data analytics background and passion for improving the client experience
  • Strong data skills and a shown ability to use tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and R to work efficiently at scale
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills that demonstrate the ability to effectively follow-up and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of how to apply statistical methods to identify drivers of business results based on customer feedback and customer journey touchpoints
