Role Title: Supply Support Officer
Role Description:
Our client is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of a number of Navy platforms, equipment and systems contained across multiple product schedules.
The Supply Support Officer contributes directly to the sustainment effectiveness by planning, coordinating and managing supply support activities across complex capability programs. The role ensures materiel and material availability, inventory integrity and compliance with Defence policy, while supporting operational readiness and value for money outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and manage supply support activities to ensure the timely availability of items in support of operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain provisioning data; including stock holding policy and demand forecasts, aligned to sustainment requirements.
- Perform technical supply support functions including codification, NATO Stock Number (NSM) management and supply data governance.
- Identify, assess and manage obsolescence risks for critical components, supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
- Utilise Defence logistics information systems and ERP platforms to analyse data and generate accurate sustainment reports.
- Coordinate procurement requirements with commercial teams and industry partners to maintain program schedules.
- Contribute to the development and standardisation of logistics processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives that strengthen organisation effectiveness across specialised maritime capabilities.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, engineering support or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in supply support, logistics and integrated logistics support (ILS) within a complex, asset intensive Defence environment.
- Demonstrate experience with Defence Logistics and Supply frameworks.
- Practical experience using enterprise logistics or ERP systems to manage transactions, reporting and data analysis.
- Proven experience performing technical supply functions such as cataloging, codification, item master data management and configuration aligned supply support.
Required Security Clearance Level: Negative Vetting One (NV1)
