From your PASSION to ours

The role of the Supply Planner is to develop and execute an inventory plan for a portfolio of dairy items based on demand, actual orders, network lead times and available inventory while minimizing waste and supply chain costs. The Supply Planner partners closely with Demand Planning, Production, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales teams to optimize supply and business continuity. Responsible for developing both short- and long-term end-to-end supply chain plans for items produced internally and externally. The role will define the appropriate inventory levels and associated required capacity to optimize service, working capital and costs. This position is a key driver in ensuring finished goods availability by assuring adequate inventory is available to fulfill customer demand while minimizing inventory, waste and supply chain costs. 

From your STORY to ours

  • Develop inventory plans by utilizing current demand inputs and collaborating with manufacturing, demand planning, commercial partners, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure inventory is managed according to constraints and meets internal targets aligned with the business strategy
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, shelf-life constraints, service levels, surplus/obsolete inventory, and any other relevant KPIs to maintain optimal stock positions. Use all available resources to analyze root causes and actions to improve KPI results.
  • Develop capacity assessment to support supply chain reviews/decisions across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Analyze and initiate changes to supply chain master data and deployment elements impacting the supply plan, such as safety stock settings, lead times, network sourcing, etc.
  • Coordinate with demand planning, deployment, transportation, warehousing, and customer service teams to address any changes to supply plan and help solve any shortage scenarios that occur.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide regular updates on inventory projections and risks.
  • Execute new item product launches and/or discontinuations to meet customer expectations.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. 
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within supply planning processes and systems to drive better efficiencies and yield improvement in KPIs. 

Requirements

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 

Experience

  • 4+ years Supply Chain Planning/forecasting experience is required.
  • Additional cross-functional experience in warehousing, transportation planning, and/or customer service preferred. 
  • Experience in food, beverage, dairy, CPG, or manufacturing environments preferred. 

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • Proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of other MS Office applications is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required.
