Target Salary Range:
$64,500-$107,500,000 per year (salary to be determined by geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

Responsible to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work in a timely manner. Maintain distribution records and assist with month end close procedures. Track “Right first time” production and “On time deliveries”. Carry out planning associated with daily shipments and submit month end reports. Determine and coordinate delivery dates with customer service. Work effectively in a team environment. Build and maintain good business relationships with internal and external customers. Must demonstrate strong planning skills and have the ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with minimal direction. Essential member of the distribution office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review plant requirement reports and promote 100% on time deliveries
- Ensure inbound/outbound carriers are certified, staged for loading and follow safety policies & procedures
- Utilizes SAP for demand processing and inventory management
- Works in close partnership with Evonik’s third party logistics contractor
- Communicates directly with carriers as need for order processing
- Assist in the oversight of product storage and shipment from local and offsite warehouse locations
- Monitor and enforce all safety / environmental / regulatory procedures related to Hazardous materials
- Participate in and support “Behavior Based Safety” program, strive for safe work behavior of themselves and others
- Use existing and/or implement new analytical data reports for cost benefit opportunities
- Must have the ability to evaluate processes and communicate current or future possible demand issues
- Prevent and/or reduce errors in all shipping
- Evaluate and communicate the type of production runs required to meet demands
- Manage conflict with railroads, drivers, customer service, lab and production teams
- Provide back up for other Supply Chain Specialist and Network Manager during their absence
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3-years’ experience in a warehousing and distribution environment, preferred
- Proficient with Windows environment (Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Self-starter who is organized, resourceful and motivated
- Solid communication skills
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous hazardous materials handling and shipping experience
- Working within a union workforce environment
- Inventory management and bar coding for production and warehouse management systems
- Thorough knowledge of DOT standards for Non-Hazardous and Hazardous material shipments
- Dispatching experience
- Experience with SAP ERP system is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills
