The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join the P-8A Sustainment Program based at RAAF Edinburgh. This position will deliver supply chain support to P-8A sustainment program, with a focus on Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) supply support, to ensure timely and positive outcomes having a direct impact on the success of the capability.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide logistics support for P-8A Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) supply support
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies
  • Ensure import and export requirements are met and compliant with Global Trade Controls
  • Managing orders and delivery schedules
  • Provide support for managing repairable items and consumables inventory

Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years logistics experience within an aerospace/aviation environment, defence experience will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in building and communicating logistics strategies, and the ability to adapt to schedule constraints
  • Ability to work with a highly level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • High level communication skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project level
  • Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of SAP D-ERP will be highly regarded
  • Supply support services knowledge, skills and experience
  • NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain one.
