The Position
As a Supply Chain Project Manager, your role involves coordinating and establishing supply chains for new Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), directly influencing the launch and delivery of our upcoming products. It's crucial to establish a trusted and close collaboration, leveraging our business understanding to efficiently build a robust supply chain.
You will be responsible for the Supply Chain work package, reporting to the overall Global Contract Manufacturing - Drug Product (GCM DP) Project Manager, in partnership with other product and production specialists. By utilizing your excellent stakeholder management and supply chain skills, you will bridge various Novo Nordisk functions to ensure the optimal setup for our new CMOs. You will also be hands-on, executing tasks or processes to support overall project milestones.
Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing robust supply chain processes in collaboration with CMOs and internal stakeholders
  • Establishing effective communication channels and clearly defining roles and responsibilities both internally and with the CMOs
  • Contributing to warehousing and transport strategies, ensuring they are based on risk analysis, warehouse space, and aligned with business needs for seamless system integration
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of essential test materials throughout the project phase
  • Facilitating a smooth and efficient handover to the Supply Chain Planner responsible for the operational collaboration with the CMO

We are committed to continuously enhancing the professionalism of our operational practices, offering you the opportunity to significantly influence robustness, cost optimization, and complexity reduction within our supply chain.
In this position, you will gain broad knowledge of the entire Novo Nordisk product portfolio while collaborating with international CMOs. Internally, you'll work across various departments, such as Master Data, Sourcing, Logistic & Distribution, and Quality Assurance, ensuring a reliable and efficient supply chain.
The current office location is Søborg; however, the department will be relocating to Taastrup at the end of 2024.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you:

  • Hold a master's degree in Supply Chain Management or another related field
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain experience within a regulated industry
  • Demonstrate prior experience in Project Management, preferably in setting-up processes or standards
  • Exhibit fluency in both written and spoken English

As a person, you excel at cultivating relationships across diverse cultures, securing commitment from both internal and external stakeholders. In addition to possessing strong communication skills, you proactively approach your daily tasks and effectively manage your own time, enjoying challenges and adeptly crafting solutions to bring structure. You efficiently work independently, take ownership for your work with many simultaneous tasks and changing priorities. To excel in this role, you need to be agile and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
About the department
You will be a part of our Supply Chain department within the GCM DP area. GCM DP Supply Chain has two main responsibilities: establishing supply chains for new CMOs - this is where this position is located and managing purchase planning for existing CMOs - overseeing supply chain after handover to operations.
We collaborate closely with colleagues in the wider GCM DP, CMOs and several stakeholders from within the central supply chain organization. You will join an international team of 12-14 highly motivated and talented Supply Chain professionals who encourage each other's professional development and value a positive and fun work environment.
