Under the direction of the Planning Lead – Aerospace The Supply Chain Planner accountabilities include:
- Work with the Planning Lead, manufacturing members of their particular product flow path as well as other customer planners to establish priorities for processing and shipping
- Work with the Planning Lead to level load the manufacturing flow paths to insure high level of delivery performance
- Utilize the flow path tools that are available to level load and mange production capacity
- Manage consignment parts in the flow path. Review and load the customer monthly forecast Review WIP vs. Finished Goods vs. Pull rates to insure compliance
- Review order start dates to determine our ability to delivery on time. Take appropriate action with manufacturing or the Inside Sales Team as necessary.
- Review customer status and product location vs. task dates to understand ahead or behind situation. Take appropriate action with manufacturing or the Inside Sales Team as necessary.
- Track monthly delivery performance for all customers in the flow path to report to Sales organization and Supply Chain Planning organization
- Generate and communicate the appropriate metrics for the designated Gate performance to delivery performance
- Release work orders to the manufacturing floor as required to meet a high level of delivery performance and inventory management
- Develop and maintain schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
- Coordinate with various teams and departments to gather necessary information for scheduling purposes.
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize scheduling and minimize stockouts.
- Monitor and track production progress, making adjustments to the schedule as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Continuously improve scheduling processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate reports and provide regular updates on production schedules and performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Scheduling, Engineering or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong excel skills, including the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience using Oracle or other Scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
