The candidate for this role will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, contracts, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and vendor management, while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to support operational excellence and project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & ContractsLead and supervise procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services.
Ensure compliance with company SCM procedures, Delegation of Authority (DoA), ethics, and governance requirements.
Develop and validate procurement strategies and sourcing plans for operational and project requirements.
Oversee tendering activities, including preparation of RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
Lead negotiations for framework agreements, long-term contracts, and strategic supplier agreements.
Manage contract administration, contract variations, claims, and supplier performance monitoring.
Support management in contractual and commercial risk assessments.
Supervise logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation activities.
Ensure timely expediting of critical materials and equipment.
Oversee warehouse operations and inventory control to maintain stock accuracy, material preservation, traceability, and HSE compliance.
Optimize inventory levels and critical spare parts management.
Support the development of warehousing strategies and third-party logistics solutions.
Develop and maintain approved vendor lists and supplier prequalification systems.
Ensure suppliers comply with company QA/QC, HSE, ethical, and compliance standards.
Participate in supplier audits, inspections, and performance evaluations.
Promote supplier competitiveness and cost optimization while maintaining operational and technical quality.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
Coordinate closely with Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Drilling, HSE, and Finance teams.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of long lead items and operationally critical equipment.
Support major projects and drilling campaigns through proactive SCM planning and expediting.
Participate in project reviews, kick-off meetings, and operational risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, company procedures, anti-corruption policies, and SCM governance requirements.
Promote ethical procurement practices and transparency across all supply chain activities.
Develop SCM KPIs and reporting tools to monitor departmental performance.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, and warehousing functions.
Support ERP optimization, digital transformation, and SCM system improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree or professional SCM certification such as CIPS is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Supply Chain Management within the oil & gas, energy, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
Strong experience in procurement, contract management, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
Good knowledge of international contracts and commercial practices.
Experience managing both operational procurement and project procurement activities.
Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within an operational environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites, vendor locations, and operational areas as required.
