Reports to: Senior Director, Supply Chain & LogisticsPosition Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will support key supply chain functions, including managing inventory, overseeing shipping and receiving activities, and assisting with procurement processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations of our cycle count program, stockroom organization, and the shipment/receipt of sterilized devices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Cycle Count Program:
- Manage and execute the company’s cycle count program to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, collaborating with other departments as needed.
- Stock Room Management:
- Maintain a clean, well-organized stock room to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of items.
- Regularly monitor stock levels and identify opportunities for improvement in space utilization.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Handle general shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing boxes and pallets for shipment and processing incoming materials.
- Manage the configuration and shipment of pallets of single-use devices to and from sterilization facilities.
- Ensure that all shipments and receipts are properly documented and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
- Purchasing:
- Assist with purchasing inventory and non-inventory items, ensuring proper approvals are obtained. (Microsoft Dynamics 365 - D365).
- ERP System Management:
- Update and maintain lead times, pricing, and other relevant data in the ERP system (D365) to ensure procurement activities are aligned with company needs.
- Kanban Process:
- Manage and support the Kanban replenishment process to ensure continuous availability of critical materials.
- Monitor Kanban triggers and collaborate with the production team to adjust stock levels as necessary.
- Perform all activities in compliance with applicable regulations, Fractyl’s policies and guidelines, including, but not limited to, timely documentation of activities and maintaining all required applicable training.
- Bring a “can do” spirit to work and deliver on other responsibilities as assigned.
Education or Certification Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional Work Experience
- Previous experience in a supply chain, inventory management, or logistics role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), will be considered a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
- Knowledge of cycle counting, Kanban, and general inventory management principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with procurement and shipping/receiving preferred.
- Applicable experience in biotech, pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries preferred.
- Prior vocational experience in related fields a plus (i.e. Co-Ops, Internships, Fellowships, etc.).

Additional Position Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time when handling inventory.
