DEKA Research and Development invites you to join our dynamic team and be at the forefront of driving quality excellence! As a Supplier Quality Specialist, you'll be a key player in our collaborative environment, working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
How you will make an impact:
- Perform supplier qualifications in support of QMS including, supplier audits, review of Quality Agreements, review of certifications, and review of supplier surveys.
- Documentation support
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Review and support Supplier Corrective Action requests (SCARs) and responses
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate and communicate supplier expectations
- Facilitate meetings between Engineering, Supplier Management, and Purchasing
- Monitor supplier performance and supplier qualifications to assist in maintaining the status of the supplier
- Support development and maintenance of supplier management procedures and processes
- Support supplier management process improvements
- Support QMS collection and trending of supplier-related quality data
- Manage and maintain supplier quality databases
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent working experience is preferred
- 3+ years of experience with Supplier Quality
- Experience auditing external suppliers recommended
- Corrective and Preventive Action with suppliers
- Support and Participate in compliance and regulatory audits and inspections
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
- Ability to analyze data for accuracy and correctly interpret results
- Skilled in various computer programs. Including but not limited to: Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, OneNote, ERP and MRP tools
