Job Responsibilities:
Scope of Position
  • All aspects and functions involved in the supply chain of quality parts in a safe environment and in compliance with all requirements of Magna, external bodies, Magna's customers and shareholders.
  • Ensure compliance to Magna's world class Mafact standards in ownership of APQP / Launch team focusing on flawless launch for all supplier related activities. Monitor and develop suppliers (potential, new and current suppliers). Manage solutions of chronic supplier quality & delivery issues.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Development within the automotive industry.
  • 2-5 years of experience in plant operations.
  • Proficient in ISO/IATF 16949 and CSR's.
  • Proficient in problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Drill Deep and Wide, Six Sigma...etc.).
  • Proficient in AIAG core tools: PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, drives for improvement and possesses strong communication skills.
  • Must be results driven.
  • Must be able to travel cross border as required and up to 75%
  • Certification as Internal Auditor to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO14001 preferred. Training certificates for structured problem solving, AIAG Core Tools and APQP preferred.

Job Specific Responsibilities
  • Participates in APQP Meetings & Lead supplier APQP meetings for assigned projects, ensuring voice of customer (CSR's) compliance.
  • Conduct supplier related audits (CSR / ISO / IATF / Mafact/ CQI) on potential, new and current suppliers.
  • Supplier Capability Assessments
  • Manage Supplier Certifications
  • Conduct R@R at supplier location for 3 days and 3 shifts
  • Review Supplier PPAP's including annual layout
  • Supplier measuring system and correlation activity.
  • Monitor Supplier Performance, generate Charts as required for Mafact & Share point.
  • Review supplier 8D's
  • Coordinate change management at supplier
  • Support manufacturing locations on supplier related performance issues (conduct 8D verification, review CS1/CS2 containment process implementation at supplier).
  • Visiting supplier for PPAP, R@R & 8D's reviews.
  • Comply and participate in monthly Health & Safety Quiz.
  • Comply and participate with suggestions and Continuous Improvement program at MSM
  • Direct influence internal MSM team members in a cross functional environment.
  • Lead supplier APQP of different projects, timeline must be met.
  • Lead Technical reviews with suppliers.
  • Maintain APQP tracker for assigned programs.
  • Ensure supplier is set up to Supply web & QPF.
  • Perform Tooling audit to process payments.
  • Manage chronic suppliers using QLPS as a resource.
  • Actively and positively support the continued practice of Common Values behaviors
