Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Work in the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team which drives Advantest towards operational excellence in a fully outsourced manufacturing environment
- Brings new complex cable assemblies of the V93000 IC tester (with focus on interconnect parts, customized connectors and spring contact pins) into production on time
- Assures manufacturing, quality and reliability of technically challenging complex cable assembly products throughout the outsourced supply chain
- Develops, maintains and shares expertise of complex cable assembly product design of the V93000 within Advantest including advice to peers and management
- Selects supplier and runs supplier qualification through potential analysis and process audits to constantly fulfill customer and business requirements
- Manage quality, product changes and technical supply chain processes of products to constantly fulfill customer and business requirements
- Implementation of preventive quality and approval measures at external suppliers
- Aspects to further consider are manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives to drive quality, cost, and supply metrics towards defined goals
- Collaborates closely and x-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain and Product marketing and global support teams as well as suppliers in a very international environment
- Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of connectors, cables and its failure mechanism
- Broad experience in cable manufacturing processes
- External auditor experience
- Flexible and innovative mindset with analytical problem solving skills,
- Strong ownership in failure identification (data analysis to identify HW errors, electronic cable measurements, debugging cable assemblies)
- Pro-active mindset with a focused ambition to solve problems
- Ability to define schedules and keep timelines
- Good Communication skills and team player in cross-functional and cross-company environment both in English and German
- Willing to travel 10-20% of time
Skills Required
