Position Overview
The Supplier Management Advisor is responsible for managing supplier risk and performance globally for the enterprise, ensuring suppliers meet terms of commercial agreements. Executing supplier management activities based on established category strategies to enable the business unit to successfully achieve its objectives. . This individual will partner across the organization to guarantee supplier success in meeting organization needs in compliance with corporate policies and standards. The role promotes supplier management best practices through a customer centric mindset.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Manages supplier risk, performance, and quality on behalf of relationship owner, developing plans to mitigate risk and increase supplier performance in partnership with Due Diligence Partners and Category Management teams. Identifying value opportunities across the supplier portfolio, leading cross functional teams optimize supplier relationships.
- Managing supplier escalations, ensuring outsourced business needs are met and supplier relationships remain strong.
- Executes supplier management activities within S2P & ERP systems, including new supplier onboarding, supplier on-going maintenance, and supplier deactivation, in partnership with Category Management and Finance teams.
- Monitors and mitigates on-going supplier risk, inherent to supplier relationship or supplier engagement, while partnering with Third-Party Risk Analysts and Due Diligence Partners.
- Partners with Category Management teams to influence category strategy based on residual supplier risk. Communicates risk details and brings recommendations to mitigate risk in partnership with Third-Party Risk Analysts.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier risk and performance, including supplier scorecards, risk scores, and supplier dashboards. Communicates findings to relationship owners and Category Management teams to influence strategies.
- Manages the supplier segmentation model, partnering with Category Management teams to ensure accurate classification of supplier portfolio. Provides guidance and feedback on supplier criticality to the enterprise based on supplier data.
- Plan and lead review of supplier relationship management in support of company policies and standards. Consulting stakeholders on effective supplier relationship management.
- Continuously improves upon business processes to innovate supplier management processes and policies, working towards best-in-class practices.
- Builds strong and trusting relationships with due diligence teams and business partners; works collaboratively to achieve objectives; communicates with impact to a range of audiences.
- Assists in coaching fellow Supplier Management colleagues, providing ways to improve and enhance ways of working.
- Manages escalations efficiently and provides quick resolutions to business partners.
- Collaborates across organization, coaching and influencing on supplier strategies and best practices related to supplier management.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal customers.

- Supports and complies with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management or related field or Associates Degree and additional 2 years relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
- 7 years of related work experience in areas such as Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, etc.
- 2 years’ working knowledge of data privacy, information security and/or other compliance related functions.
- 1 years’ working experience dealing with international suppliers, ideally those in the European Economic Area (EEA).
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of professional industry experience.
- CPSM, ISM, or professional procurement certification
- Experience with Source-to-Pay system, such as Coupa. Primarily in supplier management programs.
- Experience with SAP.

Salary Range:
$85,000.00 - $135,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
