Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Supplier Field Engineer EMEA in Burgess Hill, UK.
In this role, you will support supplier quality, compliance, and performance across the EMEA region. Acting as the liaison between Boeing Distribution and suppliers, you will ensure products and processes meet quality and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, drive improvements, and monitor supplier performance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are key to maintaining supplier compliance and supporting Boeing's aerospace supply chain excellence.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supplier Performance: Monitor and improve supplier manufacturing and quality performance through ongoing evaluation and support.
- Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and on-site evaluations to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Nonconformance Management: Investigate nonconformances, escapes, and corrective actions to maintain product quality and reliability.
- Root Cause Analysis: Support root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address supplier issues.
- Expeditor Support: Assist the Expeditor team with follow-ups and supplier escalations to ensure timely resolution of supply chain challenges.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure supplier compliance with Boeing requirements, customer specifications, aviation/industry standards, and regulatory and quality system requirements.
- Process Review: Review supplier processes related to manufacturing, inspection, documentation, traceability, and material control to uphold quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sourcing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve supplier issues effectively.
- Field Support: Provide field support for product acceptance, issue resolution, and recovery plans to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Supplier Metrics Tracking: Track supplier metrics such as quality performance, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and process capability to drive continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years' experience in supplier quality management or related field.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proven ability to conduct supplier audits and on-site evaluations.
- Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with common ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Certification in quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Demonstrated success in root cause analysis and supplier development.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as FAA or EASA.
- Ability to analyze supplier performance metrics (quality, delivery, responsiveness).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
Work Authorization:
